Also enhancement: got broken at the start of WOW TBC Classic Gold the expansionwith a tried rework(Legion), were really great for one week because of a bug and bad gear so nobody scaled nevertheless. Bug got repaired, and we had been in the trash for the next 3 raids, together with continuous recurrence of'we had no time this patchwe guarantee we fix it at another one'.
Well, it didnt happen in bfa - we sucked there too gameplay wise, we had any raidtiers where we had been middle of the pack instead of bottom third, but thats it. They finally de-reworked the entire spec to a better version of the pre-legion gamestyle (gameplaywise) and then just never allow us to be more aggressive in raids. I believe they just have some very committed designers for a few classes and specs, and the ones that are always abandoned and disregarded just dont have someone who needs it to succeed, so they simply get looked in sparingly and get a 5% buff here and there.
Wait wait wait wait. I ceased playing back during Cataclysm, and that had been a meme back then make it was literally in the WOTLK trailer. I have kept up just a little bit over the years and completely forgot about this haha
As somebody who had to give up playing classic due to insufficient time, it has its flaws, because it is a really old game now, but it did a lot right too. It didn't have a ton of throwaway pieces. Everything in classic has been essentially required, so as to operate somewhere else in classic. I haven't seen a match with systems that integrated since then.
Meanwhile, I haven't gotten any new expansions since legion. Why? Because the sport keeps chugging along, but I don't feel like it's enhanced. I didn't even like Legion that far. It had been nice, but I wasn't excited. Hilariously, I loved MoP, because I loved the unwanted stuff (but maybe not a lot of those dailies).
I really don't believe any expansion because MOP really improved on the game. It's basically the exact same game it has been for quite a while, but with a difficult to swallow narrative (I sort of lost track of what happened after MoP,) fresh zones, and some surface level material switched around and discarded after the previous growth. If anything, it keeps gaining problems and plot holes.
At the end of the day, is that worth the $15 per month plus expansion costs? No, Especially when there are a ton of fantastic PC games that aren't just cheaper, but higher quality, have lots of gameplay , also possess a complete experience included with the one time price?
I feel you. I get real nostalgic for some wow but read up about the present xpac and decide against it. I quested a bit in the xpac afterwards but got pissed at times questing zones (I can not play my friend now because hes 1 pursuit ahead wut? I liked the instance world changes before cheap WOW Burning Crusade Classic Gold then). Sometimes I feel as I should've sold my account at peak cata times where I'd like 5 max level characters with heroic tape equipment pieces...
